Bobrisky Asked Me for N3m to Get VIP Treatment in Prison – Falz
Popular rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, widely known as Falz, has confirmed that Bobrisky, the controversial social media influencer, approached him for financial help during his legal troubles earlier this year. According to Falz, Bobrisky begged him for N3m to secure a VIP section at the Correctional Centre.
Falz’s clarification comes in response to claims made on social media that suggested he conspired with Bobrisky to interfere with justice. In a letter issued by his legal team, Falana & Falana Chambers, the rapper addressed the defamatory statements made by Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.
Falz confirmed that Bobrisky contacted him, asking for N3m to secure a VIP section in prison. However, Falz rejected the request. He firmly stated that no payments were necessary and that he had no involvement in Bobrisky’s legal matters beyond offering advice.
Falz’s lawyer, Taiwo E. Olawanle, outlined these details in a letter dated September 26, 2024. The letter referred to a social media post by Otse, where Otse had implied that Falz and his father were involved in assisting Bobrisky’s legal issues. The legal team demanded a retraction of the false claims.
In response to the allegations, Falz’s legal team made it clear that Bobrisky, not Falz, initiated contact. The letter stated, “Our client has documentary evidence that Mr. Idris was in fact the one who initiated a call.” Falz denied ever offering or providing financial assistance to Bobrisky for securing a VIP section in prison, setting the record straight on his involvement.
Falz’s legal team has demanded a public apology and retraction of the defamatory statements.
