Bauchi Governor Approves Renovation of 11 Palaces

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the renovation and upgrade of 11 village heads’ palaces in the Dass Local Government Area. This move, aimed at improving traditional institutions, also includes the complete renovation of the Emir of Dass’s palace, Alhaji Usman Othman. The announcement was made by the Chairman of Dass LGA, Mohammed Jibo, on Sunday.

Jibo expressed gratitude to Governor Mohammed for extending the renovation project to Dass LGA. He stated that the renovation of 11 village heads’ palaces is part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to provide a better working environment for traditional rulers. “This is a clear sign of the high regard Governor Mohammed has for royal fathers in the state,” Jibo said. The village heads of Bununu Dass, Wandi, Baraza, Durr, Lukshi, and six other areas will benefit from the upgrades.

Along with the 11 village heads’ palaces, Governor Mohammed(Bauchi Governor) also approved the renovation of the Emir of Dass’s palace, demonstrating his commitment to transforming Bauchi’s traditional institutions. Jibo noted that the governor promptly approved the council’s request to improve the living and working conditions for the traditional rulers.

Jibo also highlighted how traditional leaders play a critical role in promoting peace and development in their communities. “The renovation of these palaces shows the governor’s awareness of the importance of traditional rulers as custodians of culture and promoters of peace,” he added.

The village heads expressed their appreciation for the governor’s renovation initiative. They praised his dedication to the development of the state’s traditional institutions and wished him continued success as he governs the state. The governor’s approval to renovate 11 village heads’ palaces in Dass LGA signals his focus on enhancing the roles of traditional rulers across Bauchi State.
