Ebonyi State Approves New Rural Infrastructure Projects

The Ebonyi State Executive Council has approved the construction of several rural infrastructure projects. These projects, announced after an executive council meeting on October 8, 2024, aim to boost connectivity and economic development across rural areas.

The projects include new bridges and roads in Ezza North and Ivo Local Government Areas. Among the approved projects are:

– Akadoro Bridge (45m, Three-Span) in Alubeleke, Ezza North.
– Ameake–Ike River Road(4km) in Ishiagu, Ivo.
– Ekwetekwe/Ogbuinya Umuezeoka Road (4km) in Ezza North.
-Ameake Bridge(45m, Three-Span) with two box culverts in Ishiagu, Ivo.

These rural infrastructure projects will ensure easier access to markets, schools, and healthcare services in the affected areas. They reflect the government’s commitment to improving road networks and promoting rural development.

The government emphasized that these infrastructure projects align with its vision for rapid rural development. Governor Nwifuru also directed the State Council for Public Procurement to advertise and award the projects promptly to fast-track implementation.
